I have had a slow leak in one of my truck tires for a long time now. It requires adding some air about every 3 or 4 days (I can’t find the leak. I think it’s around the rim seal and I don’t want to deal with taking it for repair). I’ve gone through two other portable compressors like this one, at comparable prices. They were both very loud, slow to add air, and vibrated so much that I couldn’t believe they didn’t shake themselves apart. This Universal Portable Air Compressor is just the opposite – quiet, low vibration, and took my truck tire from 26 psi to 40 psi in about 4 minutes (which is great for a small compressor like this).
I’ve only used it a few times so far, so I can’t attest to it’s durability, but it does seem to be very well made. The attached hose is long enough to set the unit on the ground and still easily reach the valve stem on the tire, even if it’s located at the top of the tire. The power cord is also quite long, which is great for a big truck.
The ability to digitally set the required tire pressure, and the auto shutoff at that pressure, works perfectly, and is a life saver. I once started filling my tire with a previously owned similar compressor and walked away to take care of something else. When I remembered the compressor was still running, I ran back to the tire which was now dangerously over filled. But this unit shut right off at the pressure I had set. I checked the tire’s pressure with a tire gauge and it showed that the pressure was accurate.

So glad to have found this compressor. This compressor can be powered by the battery source of a vehicle. The compact size is perfect to carry on a quad or shove in a toolbox. We have used this unit on our 5 acre property where most flats happen just beyond range of the extension cord. The unit is able to quickly inflate all types of tires. The unit inflated the tractor tire seen in the video in less than 2 minutes even with a leak in the tire. Allowed us to bring it back to the barn for repairs without damaging the tire further. The unit comes with a plyable carrying bag but I purchased an ammo can to secure and safely store the contents and provide a means to attach to the tractor. I fully expect to be purchasing additional units for friends with quads.

We purchased this for a couple of different reasons. Most importantly for emergencies when we are traveling. We also figured it would come in handy to blow up the air mattress when we are camping. This product has a nice long cord to reach all the tires and has the option to connect it to your battery or plug it into a cigarette lighter. Comes with many different interchangeable heads and a nice bag with a handle to store it in. Doesn’t take up much room at all in my vehicle.
